1948 Panhard Dynavia. Kind of like if Dr. Seuss designed a car for Buck Rogers.

I’ve seen that one in the Schlumpf collection. It’s just one of the many odd/weird/great cars they have there, I’m sure you would love it there.

Awesome, a car with no front or end. Who did the design?

Louis Bionnier who worked on most Panhards, I think, from the 30's til the end. And, I believe he also did the styling for the Citroën Dyane. A lot of his cars were named like that. Dyna, Dynamic, Dynavia. He also supposedly loved fish and would stare at them for hours in the aquarium he built in his house. Which explains why his cars looked like they did.

I totally see a fish in all the cars you mention. Even that Dyane. Not te Acadyane, or the Fish must just have eaten some sort of cabinet. What was that Dyna/Dya all about?

Not all fish are aerodynamic. Speaking of which, I think that word is where the “dyn” thing came from. The Dynamic, I believe, came first, and then he just kept going with the naming convention.

Well, if a golfball is aerodynamic...
Then how did he get from Dynamic to Dyane? Was he dyslectic?

I think “Dyslexic” was the name of one of his concepts.

Best ad ever. And all this just when international women’s day has ended. How was that for you?

I think that’s a perfect celebration of women. Emily gave us all the day off, actually. Which meant I had to work this weekend. Women, amirite?
